The NIHR Research Design Service network Minimize

The NIHR Research Design Service (NIHR-RDS) for the East of England forms part of the NIHR's national strategy to provide consistent support to the health and social care research community across England. This network of Research Design Services will help researchers to prepare proposals for submission to national funding competitions for applied health or social care research by providing expert advice on research design and methodology.

The NIHR-RDS for the East of England is an active and dynamic network of five Universities and four NHS Trusts across the East of England offering research and support across the region.

The Research Design Service supersedes the old system of Research and Development Support Units.

Do you have a research idea that you would like to develop into a proposal to attract research funding?

The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Research Design Service for the East of England aims to work with health and social care professionals and service users who want to improve the services they deliver. They can provide consultative advice and can also help to build collaborative research teams in order to develop research proposals which are patient focused.

They will work with you to develop and strengthen research design so that initial research ideas can become strong research proposals that will attract research funding. The NIHR-RDS for the East of England is actively looking to support any health or social care professional as well as service users or service user organisations who are particularly interested in research that has a direct benefit to patients (although their support is not restricted to this area).
