Arts Therapies Service

Many people with lived experience of mental health use art therapies as a powerful tool for self-healing and recovery, which allows them to use their creativity to accept themselves, their condition and give them hope of recovery.

Arts Therapies involve using the arts in a safe, calming environment with a trained therapist to guide and support the individual. There are many different types of arts that can be used, such as artwork, drama, music and dance.

Artistic skill or experience aren't necessary, the aim is for people to express themselves non-verbally and use their creations to understand and accept themselves.

By making a donation or setting up a fundraising page for Head to Toe Charity, you can give people with a lived experience of mental health the hope of a brighter future by supporting the work of the Arts Therapies Service at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust.

Your support will enable NHS staff to provide the very best care and treatment possible by enabling more musical and arts events to enhance wellbeing and inspire hope and recovery for people using the Arts Therapies Service.
