Do you support a relative, friend or neighbour due to their mental illness? If so this is the course for you.

This course is an education programme providing information and peer support for carers. The course also provides an opportunity for carers to develop their practical skills in the areas of communication, coping strategies and self help.

This course is an education programme providing information and peer support for carers. The course also provides an opportunity for carers to develop their practical skills in the areas of communication, coping strategies and self help.

Who is it for?
The course is aimed at anyone who is caring for a family member or friend who is aged 18-65
The content and length of the course is based on local need

• Become more informed
• Understand your rights
• Explore how to look after yourself
• Gain confidence in your caring role

We will be running a 5 week course throughout April

Every Tuesday in April (2, 9, 16, 23, and 30) at John Lewis Peterborough (Business entrance)

9.30 for a 9.45am start until 12.45pm.

DIRECTIONS:
You will need the Westgate Street entrance to John Lewis and are looking for the dark smoked glass windows with a sign that says John Lewis Partners Entrance (DO NOT enter the main John Lewis shop (menswear) entrance.
You will walk past an Indian restaurant called “The Banyan Tree” that has stairs going into it.
Enter through the smoked glass doors into the reception area where you will need to sign in and the room we are using is opposite reception.
