Marathon joy for our Sarah

Clinical skills co-ordinator sets new personal best in London

Marathon joy for our Sarah
29 April 2015

CPFT clinical skills co-ordinator Sarah Endicott completed the London Marathon in a new personal best of 4hrs 30mins and 40secs.

Sarah spends her days teaching nurses how to perform tasks such as taking blood and managing intravenous lines in patients.

But in her spare time she’s a serious runner and her 2015 time was nearly 30 minutes quicker than when she previously took part in the event in 2011.

Sarah, 43, who lives in Yaxley, said: “I aimed to finish in four and a half hours, so - although it was very busy on the course, overall I'm very pleased."
Sarah, who trains nurses, physiotherapists, and healthcare assistants at a variety of CPFT’s bases including the Cavell Centre, Peterborough, took up running five years ago following the birth of her daughter.

She joined Yaxley Runners in 2010 and since then has completed numerous half-marathons and 10k runs.

Sarah is planning on running the Halstead and Essex marathon on Sunday, 10 May.
