Nominations now open in CPFT Governor elections

Nominations are now being invited ahead of elections to find new governors to join Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust.

CPFT, which provides mental health and learning disability services in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough as well as children’s community services in Peterborough, is looking for people to join its Council of Governors.

The council, which is made up of 33 governors in total, is the body which advises the Trust on issues that are important to service-users and the wider community.
Nominations are now being accepted from people who wish to become Public Governors representing the following areas:
• Cambridgeshire – two vacancies
• Peterborough – three vacancies

Nominations are also needed from people who wish to become Patient Governors representing:
• Service Users living in the electoral area of Cambridgeshire County Council – one vacancy
• Service users living in the electoral area of Peterborough City Council – one vacancy
• Service users living in the Rest of England – one vacancy

There are also two vacancies for members of staff at CPFT who wish to become Staff Governors.

Nomination forms are available from John Box, Electoral Reform Services Returning Officer, by emailing john.box@electoralreform.co.uk or by calling 0208 889 9203.

Nominations close at noon on Thursday, 12 March 2015. Ballot papers will be distributed to qualifying members on Friday, 3 April 2015, and must be returned by noon on Tuesday, 28 April 2015.
