Plans in place ahead of expected strike action
11 January 2016

On Tuesday, 12 January 2016, junior doctors across the country are expected to take part in industrial action.

Sarah Warner, Chief Operating Officer for CPFT, has issued the following statement.

She said: “We have put contingency plans in place ahead of the industrial action by junior doctors and we are confident that inpatient and urgent care services will operate as usual.

“Patient safety is our top priority and we are doing everything we can to minimise disruption for our patients.

“However, we are sorry that we have no alternative but to reschedule some out-patients appointments.

“All patients and service-users affected have been contacted so their appointments can be re-arranged for as soon as possible.

“Any patient with an appointment on Tuesday, 12 January, who has not been contacted should attend their appointment as planned.”
