Volunteers from CPFT's Dementia Carers’ Support Service (DCSS) took part in the Dementia Awareness Day at the Concourse in Addenbrooke’s Hospital on 30 May.

This event was organised by Adrian Watts, Addenbrooke’s Nursing Project Administrator, and volunteers included Gillian Brady, Brian England, Julia Martos and Barry Sutton (pictured). They set up a stall in the morning where visitors could chat to them about the service. In the afternoon Dementia Compass and the Alzheimer’s Society were there to support the event.

The whole day highlighted the positive work of dementia support services in addressing the needs of people with dementia and their carers - both in hospital and the local community.
