Work of more than 20 teams and individuals is highlighted at celebration evening

The winners of the CPFT Staff Awards 2018 have been crowned.

In an Oscars-style ceremony on Friday 20 May, Learning and Organisation Development were named Team of the Year while the Respiratory Team were given the Chair's Award for Outstanding Performance.

The event - now in its sixth year with the aim of the highlighting the incredible work of teams and individuals from across the Trust - was sponsored by CDW along with Serco and Tillery Valley and was attended by more than 220 colleagues representating the 23 finalists. It took place at the Holiday Inn, Peterborough and was hosted by Heart breakfast presenter Kev Lawrence.

The Service Improvement Award in association with CDW was won by PRISM, and the Research Innovation Award in association with CDW went to the team of health visitors who took part in Health Start Happy Start, a research study aiming to try to help parents with their children's behaviour and development.

The Newcomer of the Year Award in association with Serco and Tillery Valley was won by Louise McAvoy, nurse with the Central Huntingdon Neighbourhood Team.

Dr Mike Basher, who has spent more than a decade working with young people and their families as a consultant with CAMHS in Peterborough, won the Inspiration Award while the Out Of Hours Nursing Service won the Service-User Experience Award. The Recovery College East's Peer Education Programme was named the winner of the Recovery Award.
