Understanding Autism Seminar comes to Cambridge

Two conferences to help families better understand their child's diagnosis of autism is coming to Cambridge.

Date: Thursday 10 October 2013 and Thursday 17 October 2013
Time: 10am - 2:30pm
Venue: Chitra Sethia Autism Centre, Fulbourn Hospital, Fulbourn, Cambridgeshire, CB21 5EF

The understanding autism seminar provides information and advice to parents and carers of children aged up to 11 who have received a recent diagnosis of autism. The seminar is being run by an experienced and trained facilitator from The National Autistic Society.

The seminar will help families to:
- Develop and understanding of autism
- Discuss experiences of getting a diagnosis
- Identify how autism can affect families
- Explore practical ideas for developing communication strategies
- Clarify support that families may be entitled to and ways to access it.

Families can book two places on the seminar for £30 which will include a resource pack.
