Releasing Time to Care event success
An event was held for staff to celebrate and share the work being done for the ‘releasing time to care’ (RTC) program. Enthusiastic ward teams presented their program achievements that aim to improve staff wellbeing, efficiency of care and patient safety.
Developed by the NHS Institute, RTC helps to free up more staff time by making processes more efficient. This means that staff are able to spend more time with service users.
Dr Attila Vegh, CPFT Chief Executive, said: “In these challenging times it is crucial that we support ward teams to improve quality and the patient experience, whilst also increasing productivity and efficiency. The wealth of evidence I can see here goes to show an improved mindset that is helping CPFT make a tangible difference.”
Caroline Newman, Project Manager, added: “I think this initiative is a shining example of how the care that teams give contributes to CPFT strategic goals. Being a joint effort between staff and patients, it facilitates collaborative care planning and sets a ward onto a course of long-term sustainable development.”
