An ambassador is a collective representative for carers and / or service users. They are a highly valued resource to CPFT to assist us in improving our services and the ongoing improvement of service user and carer experience.
By requesting an ambassador, you are committing to an open and honest representation of the collective experiences of service users and carers. The ambassadors are responsible for taking items to their representative groups and feeding back opinion of how services can be improved.
There is a full expectation that there will be clear evidence of how the role of the ambassadors have influenced practice.
The assignment owner will ensure the ambassador is fully briefed on the process and clear about expectations. The assignment owner will commit to providing supervision to assist in ambassador development and also to address any issues that may arise. If an issue arises that the ambassador and / or the assignment owner cannot reach a resolve, this must be escalated to Nicola Brookes-Jones.
The assignment owner will promptly sign payment sheet confirming attendance and applicable cost centre for the assignment. Following completion of the assignment, a formal evaluation of the experience will be conducted by the assignment owner and the ambassador. The results of these experiences will be published on the completion of each of the 10 Trust-wide assignments.
