The Information Standard quality kitemark
We have been awarded The Information Standard accreditation, which is a kitemark of assurance regarding the information we produce.
Benefits to the people who use our services: "If you’re looking for trustworthy health or social care information, look for The Information Standard quality mark. An organisation that is displaying the mark on their printed and online information has undergone a rigorous certification process to prove that they provide quality evidence-based health and social care information - so you can confidently use their information to make informed decisions about your health and care. Many leading information producers such as NHS trusts, local authorities and charities are already members of the scheme."
Benefits to organisation: "The Information Standard enables the organisation to show commitment to trustworthy health and social care information and to test whether internal processes are ‘fit for purpose’. Information Standard certified organisations benefit from:
- Enhanced credibility and reputation
- Increased demand for reliable information - 78% of the public stated that they would only use, or would show a preference for, information from organisations certified by the scheme
- Improved internal processes leading to more efficient ways of working
- Reduced risk of litigation due to a clearly defined information audit trail
- A framework for continual improvement
PCT QIPP plans September 2011
Over the next four years those giving care to people in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire have made a joint commitment to saving lives, helping people stay as healthy as possible and reducing health inequalities. Our plans will make a difference to people’s lives – by improving care, preventing more debilitating illnesses and making the best use of increasingly scarce public resources.
To meet this challenge we have developed a system-wide Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention (QIPP) plan with our key partners and stakeholders, which puts your local health providers at the heart of these changes.
The links below will take you to the summaries of those plans where you can see how we are working together to maintain quality, provide services that are value for money and are more accessible.
