We are currently recruiting for Band 3 Integrated Care Workers to join our teams across Peterborough, Huntingdon, Cambridge and the Ely / Fenland area as part of the Sustainability and Transformation Project (STP).

These essential roles will be within a team supporting patients in their own home when they have recently undergone a change in their health status. Reducing the necessity for acute hospital admission and promoting independence in a safe environment or early discharge to hospital.

We are able to provide excellent supervision and training opportunities for the right candidate. We are keen to support and develop our staff through a clear career pathway and encourage promotional opportunities within the Trust.

As part of this role and if you meet the eligibility criteria there will be the opportunity to complete a Level 2 or 3 Apprenticeship qualification in Health and Social Care. As part of the apprenticeship you will achieve a national recognised qualification and gain experience in a health care setting. This is an excellent opportunity to progress onto a professional career pathway.

We are looking for people who:

  • Have an NVQ level 3 and/or care certificate or willing to work towards this
  • Have experience within a healthcare environment
  • Have good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Have the ability to work flexibly to accommodate patient/service needs
  • Enjoy working within a team as well as on their own.
  • Have the ability to demonstrate a commitment to maintaining high quality care and service provision
  • Have observational skills and a caring and approachable manner
  • Can travel around he work base locality as required

You will be responsible for:

  • Working as part of an Integrated Community Healthcare Team across health and social care boundaries
  • Assisting in the delivery of high standards of healthcare and supporting patients within their community
  • Applying competency based treatment/care to patients with specific conditions, under the supervision of a care coordinator
  • Supporting delivery of personal care, medication prompts, mobility and appropriate exercise and domestic activities of daily living

The interviews for these positions will be held at our Recruitment Open Day on Saturday 5th August between 09:30 to 15:30pm. This is a great opportunity to meet staff currently working on this project so any questions you have can be answered on the day.

  • 11:30 & 14:00 John Martin - Associate Director of Operations - STP Presentation 

There will be time for questions and answers after each session / presentation.

Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day.
