The Croft School

The Croft School provides continuity of education for children staying here, many of whom have missed school for periods up to two years. The school has a high staff-to-pupil ratio to enable us to give the children the extra help they often need.

description

The classroom teacher is Wendy Nicholls and she has two teaching assistants to help her: Anne Harman and Adil Khan There are usually only five or six children in the class.

Like other schools the children do reading, writing, maths and science in school. Everyone learns at their own pace and children can earn 'special' time when they can choose things theylike to do - like using the computer, playing with lego, having fun in the sand pit - if they have tried hard in their school work.

The school also helps in assessing children's needs and treatment while they are at the Croft.
