“Words matter: Recovery Language in Research” Workshop
24 January 2018 from 10:00 to 13:00
Venue Herchel Smith Building

“Words matter: Recovery Language in Research” Workshop.

CPFT R&D and Recovery College East are holding a workshop to explore and discuss the impact language can have on people around us. We will bring attention back to the words we use, and how those words can shape people’s experience in research. We will look at how research language can have an impact on the way people respond to questions and the way we can develop a recovery environment in research by using recovery language.

This interactive workshop is aimed at researchers, service users, carers and clinicians interested in research.

It will be facilitated by experts from Recovery College East: Kathy Jones and Terry Protheroe, Peer Tutors as well as Dr Kate Nurser, Clinical Psychologist at Older People’s Integrated Care Team.

This session is particularly popular and booking is essential. Priority will be given to people linked with CPFT.

Please feel free to share with any researchers you feel may benefit.

To book your place please contact: Iliana Rokkou on 01223 465182 or email iliana.rokkou@cpft.nhs.uk.
