Please ensure that consent is obtained from the young person/parent/carer.

The screening process within the Single Point of Access will ensure that all referrals are directed to the most appropriate services.

Please telephone to SPA if you need to discuss a potential referral.

We accept referrals from all professionals working with children and young people up to the age of 17 (or 18 if they have a learning disability) who are:

  • registered with a GP in Cambridgeshire, Huntingdon, Fenland or Peterborough

  • experiencing significant problems with their mental health

If a referral is not appropriate for Community CAMHS, we will guide referrers to information about other, more appropriate services.

If a referral is very urgent we will pass you to our on-call service at the local clinics.

More in-depth information about CAMH referrals is available here.
