Carers' group for the Treatment Ward

The Treatment Ward (formerly Oak 1 and Oak 2) is running a carers' group to help support those who are looking after someone with a mental health illness.

It is just as important to support the family members and friends of CPFT service users as it is to support the clients themselves. Caring for someone with mental health challenges can be a hard and lonely job so this group is here to support you during your loved one's stay on the ward.

Carers can go along for a cup of tea and a chat, have some time to ask questions, share ideas and thoughts and arrange carers' assessments. Everything that is talked about and said in the group will be confidential. Anything said during the group will stay between the groups and will not be discussed with your loved one.

The group meets every Saturday from 4pm until 5pm. If you are interested in coming along, please meet at The Cavell Centre reception and a member of staff will collect you from there. For further information, please call 01733 776000.

Please see the information leaflets at the bottom of this page for more information about Oak 1 and 2 Wards.
