The Peterborough Child Health Administration Team offers dedicated and full administrative and clerical support for community child health services and paediatric immunisation appointments for GP practices in Peterborough and Fenland.

How this service can help you

We manage appointments and clinics and support the delivery of the national pathways for:

  • Health visiting service
  • School nursing service
  • Community paediatric service
  • Children in care team
  • Safeguarding team
  • GP paediatric immunisation programme
  • Orthoptist service

We also support Peterborough GP practices by scheduling appointments and recording childhood immunisations.

We maintain an up-to-date register of all children and young people from birth to 19 years old and request and transfer child health records as families move in and out of the area.

How do I access this service?

We are notified about new babies via the new births notification system and accept referrals (including transfers in and out of our area) from GPs and primary care teams, health visitors, schools and other child health units.
