Entries are invited for the inaugural Darwin Nurseries and Farm Shop marmalade-making competition
The judging will take place at 11am on Saturday 23rd February
The winner will be presented with a shop voucher and a cake by the Mayor of Cambridge, Cllr. Sheila Stuart
Darwin Nurseries and Farm Shop is a horticultural centre where the workers are mainly young adults who have learning disabilities and/or mental health issues. The manager and the staff provide skills training and an opportunity for the workers to be involved in all aspects of growing plants and selling them to the public. The Farm Shop is stocked with fresh fruit and vegetables, much of it home or locally grown, jams, preserves and other foodstuffs, along with plants and seeds, fertilisers, garden accessories and pet foods.
In order to enter please bring your jars of marmalade to the below address by Friday 22nd February. Entry charge is 50p.
