The summer term at the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust Recovery College East is well underway – but there is still time to book a place on some of the courses.

Tracey Tingey, Recovery College East Co-ordinator (pictured above right with Peer Employment Project Manager, Sharon Gilfoyle), said: “We would really like to fill up the last few places on the remaining courses.

“Well over 100 students are now registered with us and we’re getting new students and student enquiries every day."

Recovery College East was launched last November with 15 courses scheduled to run in locations including Peterborough, Wisbech and Cambridge.

The number of different courses has now risen to 22, and plans are underway for even more courses to start in September.

Tracey added: “The feedback from last term has been incredibly positive. Already, for a number of students, it has proved to be a springboard to help them apply for further and higher education and for some it has also led to employment opportunities or onto professional training courses.

“For others, they have told us the courses have provided them with increased information and knowledge about varying aspects of mental health.
