Online meeting? Our Claire says yes to the dress

Our community nursery nurse celebrates wedding anniversary in fine style

Online meeting? Our Claire says yes to the dress
29 April 2020

Since more people began working from home, standards of attire may just have slipped a little bit.

Colleagues have ditched the usual officewear and during online meetings they are often popping up wearing something far more relaxed.

But not community nursery nurse Claire Creamer.

When staff at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust held their daily team meeting, Claire appeared on screen wearing her wedding dress.

Claire, who works for the Trust’s School Nurse and Health Visiting Team in Peterborough, wore the spectacular full-length ivory dress complete with accompanying jewellery to mark her third wedding anniversary.

Claire, who married husband Dan, who runs a building company, three years ago, said: “I thought it would raise a smile with my colleagues in the team – and it certainly did.

“I got a lot of very nice compliments and it was lovely to wear the dress again and think back to our special day.”

The mum of three added: “Because of the lockdown Dan and I weren’t able to celebrate in the usual way, but it was lovely to give the team a bit of a chuckle.

“Not sure my children - (Joseph 17, Millie 13, and Ava, 4) - saw it the same way though. Joseph just looked at me and sighed, ‘Mum, what are you doing?’”

Colleagues from the Trust’s Nurse and Health Visiting Service work in partnership with counterparts at Cambridgeshire Community Services to ensure they provide healthcare to children, parents, carers and schools across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

While not all face-to-face meetings with those who require services can currently take place due to lockdown, staff continue to offer telephone and video consultations while essential home visits are still taking place.

Claire said: “It’s still very much business as usual for everyone. We’re proud of the services we offer, and the support and understanding we’re having from all our clients at the moment is really fantastic.”
