The Croft Memory Tree |
In 2013 the Croft’s former ward manager, Nina Heaps, commissioned a local artist to design a memory tree to enable children to leave a memento of their time at the Croft when they leave. Located in the central atrium, the memory tree covers the whole of one wall and part of another. It is made of sustainable pine.
Croft children designed leaves for the tree in a range of autumn colours. When they leave the Croft they write a message on a leaf and choose where to place it on the memory tree.
