Our treatment pathway

The Phoenix Centre is a specialist unit for the treatment of eating disorders.

We have a comprehensive treatment programme which we expect young people and their families will take part in. This is because family involvement is the best evidence-based treatment, currently available, for the treatment of adolescents with anorexia nervosa.

Guidelines for the treatment of anorexia nervosa in young people under the age of 18 (produced by the NICE - National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence), strongly recommended that families, particularly parents/carers, should be involved in discussions that focus on the eating disorder and how best to manage it.

At the Phoenix Centre we do this in a variety of different ways. Please take a look at the therapeutic programme here
