Specialist Clinical Psychology
We offer psychological assessments and interventions to children and families within the hospital who do not have access to a dedicated psychologist within that speciality. We offer our service from birth up to 16 years of age and take referrals from a wide range of areas including dermatology, pain, genetics, rheumatology, surgery and many more.
Based at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, we provide a wide range of services including support with adjustment to diagnosis, managing invasive and medical treatments, and helping children and families overcome the emotional demands that can come from living with a medical condition. Our work includes individual, family and sibling work. We also work closely with the wider medical teams and liaise with local services and school to support children and their families.
