Current Volunteering Opportunities

We currently have a variety of opportunities for people who have a caring nature and a couple of hours a week to spare:

Delivery Drivers  -  The trust is in need of delivery drivers to pick up essential supplies and drop them off to different CPFT buildings across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

- One of our equipment suppliers are looking for volunteers to collect goods and deliver to patient houses.

Dementia Carer Support Services (DCSS)  -  The DCSS is a service that provides support to carers of people with dementia at specific times during the journey of their caring role. Volunteers have an opportunity to provide consistent support to carers of people with dementia and develop supportive and professional befriending relationships to help carers at the most challenging of times. For more details about the service please click here.

Virtual support volunteers  -  Volunteers have an opportunity to provide virtual, practical, emotional support to patients discharged from hospital. With the support of the voluntary services, volunteers can actively engage with and coach service users to develop skills that allow them to use technology to support their care.

Help our neighbourhood nurses by becoming a Patient Feedback volunteer. Listen to and learn from the views and experiences of patients, both positive and negative, so that we can ensure that patients are involved in planning, evaluating, and improving the quality of services.

Heart and Soul  -  Heart and Soul is a CPFT community of volunteers, peer workers and chaplains, and our aim is to involve you in one of the different ways that we support people. Our diverse range of activities include social groups – over a coffee, say – or friendship groups on Zoom, befriending and visiting individuals in the community and in hospital, or telephoning someone who may be isolated and lonely, to show we care. We would be interested to match what you bring with what we do, and we look forward to meeting you.
