Sleep packs

Sleep packs created for unaccompanied asylum seekers

One of our children’s teams in Peterborough see a number of unaccompanied children asylum seekers accessing their services. They wanted to do even more to help these young people who are often distressed by the new world around them and the journey they have undertaken to get here.

The team put together sleep packs containing several small comforts to help with something many of us take for granted, a good night’s rest.

Shamreen Bi, an administrator within the Children's services helped come up with the idea. – ‘We hope the sleep packs improve the wellbeing of these young people and help with a new start.’
