How our service can help you

Smoking tobacco remains the leading cause of preventable death, disability, illness, and social inequality within our society. It is attributed to approximately 20% of all deaths annually in the UK.

Supporting our patients and staff who are tobacco dependent is a key component of the NHS Long Term Plan. The NHS is committed to contributing towards wider government action that advocates for a smoke free generation by 2030.

Our tobacco dependency team will offer effective and evidence-based treatments and to patients, supporting them with their nicotine addiction while they are in hospital and ensuring follow up support in the community.
