Resident Doctors' strike action: 25-30 July 2025

The British Medical Association (BMA) has announced that resident doctors (formerly known as junior doctors) will take part in strike action from 07:00 on Friday 25 July 2025 to 07:00 on Wednesday 30 July 2025.

We are working hard to make sure we can continue to provide services on the strike days.

Appointments

If you have an appointment with any of our services on these days, please assume this is going ahead unless you have been told otherwise. Our teams will contact you directly if we need to re-schedule your appointment.

Choose services wisely

The NHS is asking patients to choose services wisely during industrial action and take simple steps to help ensure care is available to patients who need it most.

This includes using NHS 111 online as the first port of call for health needs and continuing to only call 999 in a life-threatening emergency.

GP practices will be open during the resident doctors strikes. Please continue to attend your GP and dental appointments, unless you are contacted and told otherwise.

Pharmacies will also remain open.
