The Big Bike Ride is back! Sign up today and raise vital funds for our official charity Head to Toe

Head to Toe — the charity of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust — has announced details of its flagship Big Bike Ride.

Returning for a third great year on Sunday, 10 August, the  event offers cyclists a choice between a scenic 50 km or 100 km route, beginning and ending at Cambridge North station.

With a course that will take entrants through the tranquil and flat landscapes of Cambridgeshire via country lanes, national cycle routes, and cycle paths, it caters to both beginners and experienced riders alike. Cyclists at the Big Bike Ride 2024 with their backs to the camera

Organised in partnership with Redfox Cycling, the ride will feature expert guidance, support vehicles, lunch stops, and a celebratory finish. Entry costs just £25, with a minimum fundraising target of £150.

All riders are welcome to set their own sponsorship challenge figure and help Head to Toe in its work to support the patients, carers at staff of CPFT which provides mental health services to those of all ages, and community physical health services to older people and those with long term conditions.

The 2024 ride raised nearly £10,000, enabling Head to Toe to fund a host of impactful initiatives across the Trust.

Hannah Wysocki, Charity Manager of Head to Toe, said: “Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just getting started, this fully supported event is for you. We’ll be with you every step — or rather, pedal — of the way.”
