Top performance from The Eye sees £1,400 raised for CPFT’s charity Head to Toe

With their blend of R‘n’B, pop and rock, The Eye certainly know how to entertain a crowd.

And they also know how to raise money for Head to Toe, the official charity of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust.

During an evening of great music, the band – who describe themselves as “a horn section, three singers, and a lot of fun” – raised nearly £1,400 for Head to Toe.

Alex Gordon, Fundraising Manager for Head to Toe, said: “The Eye were brilliant. They put on a superb concert, and for them to donate the proceeds of the evening to us was just fantastic.
“We would like to thank them – and all members of the audience – for their incredible generosity.”

The concert took place at the Portland Arms in Cambridge and was arranged by Brian McCarthy, a Non-Executive Director at the Trust whose wife, Anne-Marie, is one of the singers with The Eye (pictured, third from left).

Brian said: “The Eye have been playing together for more than 25 years, and they were delighted to support Head to Toe. I’m so pleased they were able to raise so much in one evening.”

Head to Toe uses all funds raised to improve services and facilities for CPFT staff, patients and carers. To find more about the work of Head to Toe and how to fundraise or make a donation visit: www.cpft.nhs.uk/ourcharity.
